Cupcake.

Photobucket

It was one of T's friend's birthdays this week so she decided to make her some pretty cupcakes using this recipe, with a few adjustments.

T infused the chocolate butter-cream icing with rose and the sweet taste made the dense, rich chocolate cake even more delicious.

It is with much self-control that T is ignoring the leftovers as they sing her name from the fridge.

Lavender.

Photobucket

Traveller has a thing for lavender:

It's purple. It's beautiful. It smells heavenly.

And...it tastes divine!

Today, Traveller made lavender cupcakes from this cookbook. Now, lavender cupcakes may sound a little strange, but T assures you that they are delicious!

Lavender has such a delicate and beautiful flavour.

Now, she could have used purple colouring, or even placed a sprig of lavender on top which would have looked pretty, but sometimes these things are difficult to find.

When in doubt, the answer is always pink.

Happy Holidays to Traveller!

To celebrate their running success and Traveller's return to holidays, T and running friend had another spa day, followed by treats at Bea's of Bloomsbury.

Bea's savoury food is delicious, but their cakes are out-of-this-world-yummy! There was much to choose from, such as: truffle cakes, scones, cheesecakes and meringues. However, they are famous for their cupcakes, so we had to try them out {it was practically a neccessity}.

Traveller had a chocolate fudge cupcake and running friend had a red velvet cupcake with cream-cheese frosting! Delicious!

A perfect way to start half-term holidays.
