...ordered pizza and dined in the park.
It was T's idea to celebrate hubbie's first day at the publishing house with a sunny evening picnic - new job celebrations can be dragged out for weeks if you are creative enough! We ordered pizza from Red Pepper, a restaurant in Maida Vale which makes beautiful, Italian wood-fired pizzas.
Just near to the restaurant is a beautiful canal called 'Little Venice'. In that area is our new favourite park which looks right onto the canal. It is small but completely idyllic. On any day you can find people reading, having a game of bocce or croquet, playing with their children, or enjoying a picnic. It is lovely!
This park was the chosen place for our celebratory picnic where we dined on delicious pizza, and enjoyed the fickle English sun.

Is it just me or does that pizza have only tomato paste on the base?
We had one plain tomato (mmmm...i love plain tomato) and one with chilli, salami and mozarella - much in line with what hub's enjoys!
oh what a lovely park! aren't sunny celebrations awesome. It's rather gloomy outside my window
Don't worry, Pizel Hazard - it's grey and gloomy here now too. :)
